About Daniel Escaleira

Biography

Daniel has been in the field of Education for over 23 years, and for the last 16 years, he has taken different C-Level positions. During his professional life, Daniel has also had the opportunity to be the General Director of a Developer which built over 300 houses in the USA for investors worldwide. Nonetheless, Education has always been Daniel’s passion.

Amongst Daniel’s positions in the field of Education, Daniel ran the Commercial & Operations Departments at an Institution for over six years. Being aware of the changes the market was going through, Daniel was also the Head of Innovation, directing a group of employees, whose purpose was to bring about innovation in the related field, through the use of different techniques, such as Design Thinking, Gamification, Business Model Canvas & Value Proposition Canvas, aiming at incrementing clients’ intake, clients’ retention rate and company’s profitability.

During this period, Daniel was also in charge of planning and monitoring company’s budget, as well as for giving managers goals, which were aligned with company’s mission and vision, being responsible for increasing company’s profitability in 564% in two years.

Back then, the passion for teaching and learning made him, along with other C-level executives, implement the company’s Blended Corporate University, aimed at all employees, creating seven of its twelve modules: Customer Care, Client Retention, Total Quality Management, Project Management, ERP and CRM use, Financial Analysis, and Strategic & Innovative Thinking. Daniel was also responsible for conducting a coaching and mentoring program for leaders.

For the last three years, Daniel has taken the position of CEO and Partner at an Edtech, which has been in the market for over 25 years. His overall responsibility is creating, planning, implementing, and integrating the strategic direction of APDZ, including all members and departments of the company. It is also his responsibility to ensure that the company’s main leaders maintain constant awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customer base, markets, new industry developments and standards. APDZ currently offers its products to the whole Brazilian Private Sector, and has started looking into the LATAM market, as a target for 2022. APDZ is also the national distributor of five international Edtech brands, whose headquarters are located in the USA and the UK.

Having become an Associate Member of the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC), Daniel has taken the position of APDZ’s Board Member, and is now resuming one of his passions, which is Mentoring entrepreneurs or aspiring entrepreneurs on achieving their goals and objectives.
