Some of these services are provided on a World-Wide basis; others primarily in major Hitech Ecosystems.
- Coaching/Advisory Services Typically, 3 hours with the CEO each week (or per month at most Incubators) plus related projects that extend the capabilities of the Office of the CEO
- Workshops
- Service as a One-Man Board of Directors Separately for each startup in a portfolio of startups
The task is typically to meet monthly and advise the startup CEO or Co-Founders what an investor would be expecting the startup to do, and to deliver as work products, to the Investors - Board Observer
- Typically, this is for one Board meeting per month;
It can be as an add-on to a Coaching/Advisory service - Part-Time, Interim Chief of Staff
This is another way to extend the capabilities of the Office of the CEO before hiring full time executives - Part-Time, Interim COO
◦ This can include a range of responsibilities to extend the capabilities of the Office of the CEO
◦ Evaluation and definition of processes and systems; and formalizing SOP
◦ Assisting C level positions with their time management - Support for developing Strategies and Business Plans
The primary responsible executive needs to be the CEO or a co-founder as a key employee has to know this ‘’cold’’ when presenting to potential investors - For Fund Raises
◦ Evaluation of a Startup’s/SME’s State of Preparedness to Raise Funds
and face Due Diligence
◦ Preparation of Investment Packages For Fund Raises
Services I have provided to/participated in for Incubator/Accelerator Management
- Selection of candidates into incubator/accelerator programs
- Measuring relative progress of portfolio of startups
- Drafting annual reports for the incubator manager to deliver to the Board of Directors or Investors
- Participated in Startup Review Teams
- Assessment of startup business plans (A process conducted every 6-12 months)
- Direction For Startup Support Consultants
◦ Established what information the Support Consultants should record and report on a weekly basis
◦ Used the information reported by the consultants to prepare Graphical Reports showing absolute and relative progress by each startup. This was used for (1) Portfolio Management Actions; (2) As a part of a periodic 6 months startup review process; and (3) as a part of the Accelerator’s reports to its Stakeholders - Co-wrote the annual draft Accelerator report, with the Manager of the Consulting Support Teams, for the Accelerator Director to edit and present to Stakeholders
